Programmes Accountant - Head Office


Ref: PA - HO

Reporting to the Senior Accountant Programmes, this position is responsible for enhancing efficiency and accountability of the Programmes of the Council.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent
  • CPA (II)
  • 3  years experience in a similar position
Other competencies
  • Strong management skills
  • High level skills in accounting and financial matters
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in computerized accounting systems
  • Must be flexible and versatile

Senior Accountant, Programmes - Head Office

Ref: SA - HO

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position involves coordinating financial reporting and monitoring for the Council's programmes by managing information for various specific grants. 

The incumbent will ensure accurate and timely reporting to the donor partners and the management.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or equivalent qualifications from a recognized university
  • CPA (K)  or its equivalent
  • 3 years  experience  in a similar position
Other competencies
  • Strong management and leaderships skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in computerised accounting systems
  • Must be flexible and versatile

Head Receptionist – Jumuia Resort Kisumu 

Ref: HREC – JRK

Reporting to the Resort Manager, this position is in charge of the front office operations including managing the reception, receiving guests, disseminating information to other departments as well as promoting sales with a view of ensuring a full house status.

This position involves making recommendations to the Resort Manager on issues affecting the reception and front office operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent
  • Diploma in Front Office Operations
  • 3 years experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry
Other Competencies:
  • Courteous and smart in appearance
  • Good communication skills and inter cultural orientation

  • Diploma in Food Production
  • 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Parti-Saucier in an environment that offers national and international cuisine

Reporting to the Resort Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the provision of Food and Beverage service to guest satisfaction and maximization of food and beverages sales revenue.

The position involves making recommendation to the Manager on operational issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or equivalent
  • Diploma in Food and Beverage Service
  • 3 years experience in a similar position
Other competencies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good command of English and Kiswahili
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic bookkeeping skills
  • Have an idea on H.A.C.C.P. analysis and audit
  • Must have good multi-cultural orientation
  • High personal standards of cleanliness and neatness
