for suitable candidates to fill the following vacancies in its Shipping,
Clearing and Forwarding division.
Business Development Manager
The position reports to the General Manager.
The incumbent will be
responsible for sourcing of new clients and growing the Shipping, Clearing and
Forwarding business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate
business plans for projects in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and the Great Lakes
Region.
- Preparation
of strategic business plans, budgets and reports.
- Meet
performance targets as set by the Company.
- Maintain
vendor contact with various customers in the region of operations.
Essential Qualifications and skills:
- A
relevant University degree in Business Administration or Marketing from a
recognized University.
- Minimum
of 10 Years practical experience in management at senior management level.
- Working
Knowledge of Logistics and International Trade.
- Competent
with Computer Software Packages.
- Valid
Driving license
- Team
Player with good communication and interpersonal management skills
- Innovative,
analytical and developmental skills.
Clearing and Forwarding Manager
The position reports
to the General Manager.
The incumbent will be
responsible for efficient and cost effective management of the Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service
and satisfy clients ¡n Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and the Great Lakes Region.
- Preparation
of periodic budgets, plans and reports.
- Meet
performance targets as set by the Company.
- Liaison
with customers to ensure good customer care while delivering services in
an efficient and timely manner.
Essential Qualifications and skills:
- A
relevant University degree in Business Administration or Marketing from a
recognized University.
- Diploma
in Shipping, Clearing and Forwarding from Bandari College or its
equivalent.
- Minimum
of 10 Years practical experience in Clearing and Forwarding business, with
at least 5 years experience at senior management level.
- Working
Knowledge of KWATOS and Simba systems.
- Conversant
with Customs Laws, procedures and classifications.
- Competent
with Computer Software Packages.
- Valid
Driving license
- Team
Player with good communication and interpersonal management skills
- Innovative,
analytical and developmental skills.
Declaration Officer
The position reports to the Clearing and Forwarding Manager.
The position reports to the Clearing and Forwarding Manager.
The incumbent will be
responsible for all the declaration process in the Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Timely
declaration of all documents.
- Meet
performance targets as set by the Company.
- Manage
all declaration staff.
- Liaison
with customers to ensure good customer care whilst delivering services in
an efficient and timely manner.
Essential Qualifications and skills:
- A
minimum of KCSE mean grade C (plain) or its equivalent.
- Diploma
in EACFFPC from Kenya Revenue Authority Training Institute.
- Minimum
of 5 years practical experience in Declaration.
- Hands
on experience on using SIMBA/Tradex systems.
- Conversant
with multiple items declaration.
- Competent
with Computer Software Packages.
- Valid
Driving license
- Team
Player with good communication and interpersonal management skills
- Innovative,
analytical and developmental skills.
