Due to expansion and growth, the following position has arisen in our organization.

The positions will be based in Nairobi:

IT Support Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, manage and resolve End-user support related calls.
  • Primary Desktop Support (Installation, configuration.
  • problem identification and resolution) for Microsoft products and other supported products (Windows XP I Windows 7, Office Products etc.) on workstations
  • SMA MPOSP Mobile Devices support for business users and agents
  • Support of printers and other networked peripherals
  • First level support of all business applications
  • First level troubleshooting and resolution of server and network related incidents
  • Ensure Server backups are performed according to agreed standards
  • Ensuring that all support calls are logged on the Service desk system, escalated and updated timeously
  • Reporting status to affected end-users and identifying problems and bringing them to the Manager’s attention with sufficient lead time to avert crises.
  • Working effectively as part of a team and seeks to support the team’s goals.
  • Engaging in format and informal knowledge transfer within the team
  • Building good relationships with business and users
  • Travel to sites to complete projects, installations etc. when required

Qualification and experience
  • A first degree or higher diploma in an IT related field
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in Desktop support in a Microsoft environment.
  • A+ and N+ or equivalent qualification is essential
  • Any experience with WSUS experience an advantage
  • Windows 2003/2008 server knowledge essential
IT Manager: Regional

Qualification and experience
  • University Degree in IT or Computer Science or related field; MSC/MBA will be an added advantage;

IT Systems Engineer: Regional

Outputs
  • Provide professional back office operational support for Microsoft Server and Network environment.
  • Primary responsibilities are the monitoring, management, and optimisation of Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange. This role requires a highly proactive approach and will be expected to drive continual improvements to maintain a highly stable server and network infrastructure.
  • Responsible for backup of company and application data.
  • Manage the network infrastructure from a design, implementation, planning, installation and support point of view.
Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot, manage and resolve Server and Network related calls

  • On-going maintenance (housekeeping, health checks etc.)
  • Maintain Technical Documentation for the region

  • To perform first level support for day to day server/network operations
  • To evaluate, implement and apply new technologies and to enhance the service offering of the network team in MCSA-ITD

  • Be able to diagnose hardware and software related issues on Cisco equipment
  • Ensuring that response times are kept within the parameters set

  • Install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN
