Human Resource Business Partner
 
HR Business Partner, Agri-Business

The job functionally reports to the Head of Human Resources, East Africa and operationally to the General Manager.

Job Purpose
 
Provide HR Leadership & partnership to local unit leaders, their leadership teams and organizations including contributing to business plans while working closely with the Head of HR, Site Managers and HR SBS leads in implementation of HR strategy, policies and processes.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the implementation of the Human Resource strategy, policies and procedures including recommending alignment to global and local internal and external standards and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure good Employee relations at the Farms.
  • Partner and Coach Site Managers in determining Talent priorities and Organization capability to meet the business goals.
  • Partner with local leadership to support and enable change management, leadership competency development and the ongoing implementation of Syngenta’s unique culture.
  • Implementation of robust HR disciplines in Talent Management areas aligned to people development and a result oriented culture.
  • Work creatively with local and regional CEOs and relevant Business Partner colleagues to deliver best practice HR solutions in line with global standards.
  • Partner with local HR Services colleagues to ensure effective delivery of HR Operations in the sites.
  • Lead HR compliance in line with local regulations and standards and to proactively manage business risk in the areas of HR Management.
HR Services Lead, East Africa

The job functionally reports to the HR Services Manager for Africa, Middle East and operationally to the Head of HR East Africa.
 
Job Purpose
 
Steer project country transformation to the new way of operation and work closely with the country HR managers and the Regional SBS HR leaders in planning and delivery of transformation while coordinating all activities, metrics and relations with Local Authorities relating to HR services provided in- house or by third party.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage HR operational support for East Africa on different sites with teams in 4 different locations in East Africa.
  • Coordinate and lead SLAs on in-house activities and external providers.
  • Conduct analytics for the different processes and coordinate reporting requirements.
  • Implement Standardised systems &processes and solve User queries in line with guidelines.
  • Lead Service metrics and improvements.
  • Provide feedback from HR services stakeholders on Global HR processes and ensure legal compliance.
  • Deal with local Authorities for HR Services relating issues and audits.
For both the jobs, we are looking for related core Business & HR Skills in Business planning & implementation, Change management, HR strategy & implementation, Talent Management, Employee Relations and HR Operations with core competencies in unlocking People Potential, Team Leadership, Visionary and Results-oriented.
 
Academic Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree.
  • Masters degree in HRM is an added advantage.
Professional Qualifications & experience
  • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Human Resource function.
  • Experience in industrial relations and employee engagement.
  • Multinational experience in the Agriculture industry is an added advantage.
  • SAP understanding.
