Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Executive Director and as a member of the SMT, the Operations Director (OD) will:
  • Oversee the heads of all operational departments;
  • Ensure effective Human Resource Management, efficient procurement and logistical services;
  • Ensure appropriate ICT and common support services;
  • Ensure smooth functioning of the organization/program/project operations;
  • Ensure consistent and high quality service delivery and constant evaluation and readjustment of the policies and procedures;
  • Lead and guide the Regional Operations Teams (HR, ICT, Logistics and Security);
  • Build capacity and conduct mandatory trainings for the Regional Operations team.

About the Candidate
  • Postgraduate degree and at least 7 years senior management experience (in operations/administration) in either commercial or non-profit organizations;
  • Demonstrable knowledge of at least 3 of the following areas: Donor Rules and Regulations; Project Management; Logistics and Procurement; ICT; Human Resources;
  • Skills in organizational development and human resource management;
  • Demonstrable success in developing and monitoring organizational policies and procedures;
  • Ability to manage both operational and programmatic work;
  • Prior experience with managing donor contracts (e.g. USAID/EC/DFID);
  • Fluency in Swahili and/or Somali language.

Position Summary

The Chief Finance Officer is the senior most finance staff member of Adeso reporting to the Executive Director. 

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) is responsible for planning, directing and controlling the overall financial functions of Adeso by ensuring financial policies and procedures are in accordance with organisational policies.
