RTI International Is Recruiting Chief Of Party Candidates For A Pending Donor Funded Governance Projects In Eastern And Central Africa.
The Chief of Party will provide leadership in the design, management, implementation and overall quality assurance of the project.
In this role, a
successful candidate will be RTI’s primary point of contact with the project
funder and national government counterpart agencies, collaborating extensively
and meaningfully with government counterparts at the national and district
levels of government and providing high-level support for effective local
capacity building.
Qualifications:
- 15
years of overall experience with at least ten years of relevant field
experience in public administration, local governance, decentralization
reform, community stabilization, civil society strengthening, and
community mobilization.
- Prior
experience managing geographically dispersed teams is preferred. A
master’s or higher degree in a relevant field desired.
- Fluency
in English required.

Successful candidates in these fields will demonstrate at least
6 -10 years experience in one or more area(s) of functional expertise including
work on prior government-capacity building programs, specific to sub-Saharan
Africa.
Successful candidates
will also have extensive handson experience working within their field at the
district and/or sub-county level of government, with a variety of stakeholders,
including technical staff, elected councilors, and NGOs.
