Stores Assistant (Internship) Job in Kisumu


Program Description: Family Aids Care and Education Services (FACES) is a collaboration between Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) and University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). 

It is a dynamic comprehensive HIV prevention, research, care and treatment program in Kenya. It is a rapidly expanding program. 

Due to its continued growth, the program is seeking motivated, pro-active individual to fill the following vacancy:

Position: 
Stores Assistant (Internship) 

Vac. No. FN2 –009 -12.
 
Location: Kisumu districts
 
Qualifications:
  • Diploma Holder in Purchasing and supplies or Certificate in Stores keeping and Management
  • Must be proficient in Ms. Office (Windows, Ms Word, Excel, Internet) usage
  • Must be flexible and willing to work under pressure with minimal supervision and undertake other duties
Job Summary: Working under Stores Officer, the incumbent will assist in ensuring receipt of all incoming supplies by verifying their quantities with the packaging lists and delivery notes as well as ensuring their safe storage of the supplies in compliance with stores documentation and inventory records. 

 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for inspection and receiving of supplies
  • Updating Inventory management tool.
  • Issuing supplies and conducting stock taking
  • Updating bin cards and filling of documents
  • Ensure that supplies are dispatched to the field sites with the appropriate records.
  • Filling of documents and performing other duties as assigned by management.
