Qualifications, Requirements, Duties and Responsibilities
For appointment to
this grade, a candidate must have:
(i) Served for at least fifteen (15) years in Accounting/Finance/Audit work,
three of which should be at the grade of Deputy Director Job Group ‘Q) for a
period of three (3) years or its equivalent position in the Public/Private
Sector;
(ii) Passed Certified
Public Accountants (CPA) part III or Associated Certified and Corporate
Accountants (AC.C.A) Level III A Bachelors’ Degree in Economics, Commerce or
any other relevant degree or
(iii) Master’s degree
in Financial Accounting or MBA in Finance or Accounting;
(iv) Be in possession
of any of the following certificates: Certified Internal Auditor Certificate or
Certified Fraud Examiner Certificate or CISA;
(v) Must have attended
a Senior Management Course;
(vi) Computer literacy
(vii) Demonstrated
merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
The Officer at this
level will report to the Director (Internal Audit) and will perform the
following duties: -
(i) Co-ordination of Audit Activities in the Commission;
(i) Co-ordination of Audit Activities in the Commission;
(ii) Compilation of
Audit Reports;
(iii) Investigations
or special audits and analysis of the reports for appropriate decisions;
(iv) Staff Supervision
and Appraisal
(v) Develop divisional
objectives and targets derived from the TSC Strategic Plan and the Performance
Contract;
(vi) Implementation of
the divisions’ performance targets.
