Description       

To provide Coordination in the  in implementation of child protection activities in IPA as per the Child Protection through Education project proposal in fulfillment of WVK’s Vision, Mission and the project goal of Contribute to an empowered local community for the protection of children in North Rift region of Kenya by 2017.  

In order to successfully do so, the Child Protection officer must be able to effectively communicate World Vision’s Christian ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that serves as an example to others.

Qualifications:  

Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience: Graduate degree, preferably in child development, humanitarian aid/development, child rights, public policy, law, social work or other related field. 

At least 3 years of experience working in child protection: including child protection programme design, implementation and monitoring; staff training and coaching with an emphasis in the special technical capacity for the focus of the project.
