KNEC is Recruiting in Nairobi and Eldoret Kenya


Recruitment of Supervisors and Invigilators for the 2012 July KNEC Examinations

Due to the increase in 2012 candidature and examination centres in Nairobi and Eldoret the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has a shortfall of 200 supervisors and 500 invigilators in the two areas.

To address the shortfall, KNEC invites applications from interested and qualified teachers from Nairobi and Eldoret to be recruited to the following positions:
1.0 Supervisors
 
1.1 Qualifications:
1.1.1 Trained teachers with a minimum qualification of S1 or Diploma in Education. Trained Technical Teachers with a minimum qualification of Technician III certificate may be considered for Technical Examinations:
1.1.2 At least 3 years of teaching or working experience;
1.1.3 At least 35 years of age;
1.1.4 Employees of registered Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or registered by TSC.
2.0 Invigilators
 
2.1 Qualifications:
2.1.1 Trained teachers with qualifications of P1 grade or higher;
2.1.2 Conversant with shorthand examinations procedures to be considered as invigilators for Shorthand invigilation;
2.1.3 At least 25 years of age;
2.1.4 At least 3 years teaching experience;
2.1.5 Employees of or registered Teachers Service Commission (TSC) or registered by TSC.
3.0 Application Procedure
3.1 Applicants are expected to apply online using KNEC Websitewww.knec.ac.ke./cp
3.2 Teachers who supervised and invigilated the 2011 November Post School exams need not apply as they are already in the KNEC data base. However, they are expected to visit the above website to confirm, update their details and upload their photographs.
3.3 The applications should reach KNEC not later than 2nd July 2012.
