Job
Purpose:
Bridge International
Academies – Marketing and Communications Department is seeking an
Administrative Assistant.
The person will support the
operations of the department.
It is expected that the
person will be flexible in responding to a variety of requests and maintain a
positive working relationship internally and externally.

Responsibilities
and duties:
Office
Administration
·
Organizes and schedules meetings and maintains department
schedules
·
Maintains a comprehensive filing system for the department
·
Makes travel arrangements for the department
·
Assists with tracking of budget and item codes
·
Opens, sorts, date stamps, logs in and distributes all incoming
and outgoing mail and other correspondence for the department
·
Tracks vacation log for department staff
·
Prepares communication and memos
·
Performs other related duties as assigned
Marketing
Administration
·
Coordinates weekly status meetings within department and with
external agencies
·
Assists in setting up presentations both internal and external
·
Monitors newspaper media, print media and digital media
(facebook) etc for relevant articles, trends and tactics
·
Checks print and production proofs and samples for accuracy
·
Works with logistics and warehouse as needed for marketing
programs
·
Assists in collating marketing/promotional materials
·
Monitors incoming email inquiries from email addresses from the
web site
·
Assists Project Managers in data capturing
·
Works with other BIA departments efficiently to streamline processes
·
Assists in undertaking research surveys either via phone or
field interviews
·
Run departmental marketing errands as required
·
Assist in translation in swahili
·
Performs other related duties as assigned
Education
·
Undergraduate degree (administrative or marketing preference)
·
2 years office experience (administrative preference marketing)
·
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
·
Internet research abilities
·
Tech and digital media savvy
