Finance and Administration Manager
Reporting to: Director
Our client, ICT firm dealing with computer, phones and other products in East Africa is seeking to fill Finance and Administration Manager position in their organization.
The ideal candidate will be in charge of coordinating day-to-day budgetary planning and offering financial advisory to the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
·         Maintaining operational control of the service within set budget
·         Ensure that appropriate financial regulations policies and controls are in place and in use at all times.
·         Ensure proper administration and monitoring of finances, including credit control and allocation of resources.
·         Take charge of preparation of management accounts, supervision of the department staff, review and approval of their work according to set guideline and timeframe.
·         Prepare and review detailed budgets for approval by management
·         Liaise with external auditors and ensure information is available to the management in line with the company’s Mission and Vision.
·         Monitor and control the flow of cash receipts and disbursements to meet the business and investment needs of the firm.
·         Oversee programs to minimize risks and losses that might arise from financial transaction and business operations undertaken by the company.
·         Prepare monthly analysis of cost of goods sold and operational expenses against prior year and budget, provision of business solutions to help mitigate company risks..
·         Partner with Product Management and Purchasing Team in determining financial impact due to product cost reductions and new product roll out and prepare periodic forecasts to update management on projected results.
·         Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvement.
·         Monitor and control debt collection.
·         Monitor and control the flow of cash receipts and disbursements to meet the business and investment needs of the firm.
·         Take responsibility for overall management and delivery of the business plan.
·         Oversee programs to minimize risks and losses that might arise from financial transaction and business
·         Perform all other duties as assigned and required by the organization.
Requirements:
·         Bachelor of Commerce(Accounting or Finance option)
·         Applicants with MBA or audit experience will have an added advantage
·         CPA(K)
·         Excellent accounting software skills especially in Sage-pastel
·         At least 10 years working experience in a busy organization
·         Able to work under pressure and focused on delivering results and improving systems.
·         Well spoken with strong people skills.
·         Good communication skills in both spoken and written English
·         Dynamic
·         Ability to manage and lead
·         Preferably an Asian (Male)
·         Above 40 years
