In the region, Plan International implements programs in 12 countries which are in Eastern and Southern Africa (RESA).

Reporting to the Regional Administrator, with working matrix with Regional Disaster Risk Management Manager, you will lead the Regional Logistics function by establishing and profiling a strong team across the 12 countries in our region and provide technical oversight to the performance of countries’ logistics.

You shall be responsible for regional logistics strategy development, implementation and planning, design capacity building strategy and profiling the logistics function in order to improve the standards across the Region.

In addition, you will be responsible for the provision of technical support in Disaster Risk management and Emergency Response actions, review emergency procurement policies and systems, and constantly ascertain their effectiveness in delivering country programs, strengthen logistical, procurement and distribution processes to ensure timely, transparent and accountable distribution of emergency supplies.

You will need to have a University degree in Administration, Logistics or Business Management, a professional qualification in Purchasingor Supply Chain Management and membership of a professional body preferably CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies ) with at least five years demonstrated relevant progressive experience in positions that have regional scope, served in a multi functional team and worked at a professional level in a child development organization.

You should have a clear exposure in Humanitarian and emergency field and demonstrate effective support in implementation of emergency response programs including rapid and short term humanitarian interventions
