Project Officer – Nutrition (IMAM)

Purpose of the job

To ensure effective and efficient coordination and facilitation of the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of the Integrated Management Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) programme.

Required knowledge:

  • Academic qualifications relevant to humanitarian assistance preferably in health sciences, Nutrition, Public health.
  • Suitable combination of experience and training in the technical and programmatic requirements of the post.
  • At least 3 years project management experience in the project’s technical focus or a related field.
  • Familiarity with sphere standards, have strong skills and experience in technical project management, monitoring and evaluation;
  • Knowledge of Somalia context and hands on experience in working in insecure contexts;
  • Good networking skills, as well as report writing and participatory planning techniques.
  • Team player and bridge builder, results-oriented and with excellent social skills that allow you to build good working relations inside and outside the team.
  • Strong communication skills in written and oral English and preferably in Somali is a requirement,
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively in a region that is insecure and affected by conflict and/ or natural disasters,
  • Experience of working with and supporting partners in delivering humanitarian programming.
This position is offered for one year with a possibility for further renewal..
