Our client in the telecommunication industry is seeking to fill
the position of Receptionist who
will be charged with the following duties and responsibilities.
- Greeting
visitors, offering them refreshments and directing them to the right
person
- Answering
queries from callers and visitors
- Answering
calls and taking and relaying messages
- Screening
and directing phone calls
- Receiving
and sorting mail and deliveries
- Scheduling
appointments
- Maintaining
appointment diary either manually or electronically
- Carryout
office filing, bookkeeping and scheduling of events and appointments
accordingly.
- Preparing
letters and documents
- General
administrative and clerical support
- Tidying
and maintaining the reception area
- Looking
after the 'visitor' book and security passes
Minimum qualifications, skills and competencies
- Diploma
in Business Administration or related field
- At
least 2 years of similar experience in a busy office
- Excellent
telephone and office etiquette
- Ability
to effectively use standard office software, such as MS Office
(Word, Outlook, Excel and Power point)
- Knowledge
of customer service principles and practices
- Dependable,
responsible, reliable and attentive to detail
