Role
Responsible, for the systematic execution of procedures for timely and cost effective purchasing and distribution of all goods and services required for VSF Belgium projects, having regard to organizations procurement policy, donor regulations and generally accepted ethical policies and legal requirements.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible
for smooth movement of cargo/staff between Kampala and field
stations/offices.
- Responsible
for smooth and constant communication flow between Kampala and field
stations on daily basis.
- Over
see flight bookings and travel management, movement of PAX/cargo
- In
charge of stores and ensure correct inventory reports are submitted in a
timely manner.
- Provide
logistical support to the VSF- B projects operating in Uganda.
- Responsible
for local procurement and liaise with the Regional office for
international procurement and receipt of supplies.
- Responsible
for monitoring vehicle movement and maintenance.
- Adhere

Essential or Minimum Requirements
Education

- University
Degree in Bachelor of Commerce or Economics or Business administration
- Diploma
or Higher Diploma in Purchasing and supplies management from the Certified
Institute of Purchasing and Supplies or its equivalent.
Knowledge and experience
- Minimum
of 3 years experience in purchasing, logistics or supply chain management
- Experience
in a busy procurement and logistics office
- Knowledge
and working experience with inventory and stores management, customs
procedures, clearing and forwarding
- Working
experience with an NGO or private sector will be an added advantage,

- Responsible
for reviewing expenditure prior to approval of payment by ensuring
accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.

for booking and reconciliation of Supplier accounts, client accounts,
payroll and other General Ledger accounts.

for generating the monthly monitoring reports for projects
- Participate
in the preparing the annual budgets.

4. Project Manager
Duty Station: Moroto, Uganda
Duration: 1 year, renewable

Role
The Project Manager will manage and coordinate the implementation of projects in Moroto..
This will involve: the coordination of partner activities. Provision of both technical and strategic leadership; ensuring efficient project development and management; ensuring that systems and procedures are in line with VSFB policies, VSFB strategy, donor and legal requirements. The Project Manager reports to the Country Director- Uganda.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible
for the overall management and implementation of the project
- Create
and organize the necessary infrastructure and work plans for successful
project implementation.
- Responsible
for project budgets and controlling its correct expenditures, in
accordance with donor guidelines and project contracts.
- Monitor
project activities including, reporting to donors through the Kampala
Office.
- Supervise,
manage and support project staff and conduct annual staff appraisal
- Participate
in recruitment of staff for their respective projects, whilst ensuring
comprehensive induction and overall management of staff performance.
- Participate
and contribute in financial planning, reporting, budget reviews and
project extension requirements.
- Support
internal and external audit processes, monitoring and evaluation of
his/her projects
- Provide
quarterly project progress report and financial project reports to the
Country Director- Uganda and Finance Manager.
- Representation
of VSFB at local, national and regional levels.
- Ensure
