Summary
Our client is the fastest growing Manufacturing Company in the Steel Industry with operations in the 3 East African Countries.
Consistent with this enhanced level of growth, they are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Chief Accountant.
Reporting to the Financial Controller the Chief Accountant will be responsible for;
Key Responsibilities
·
Prepare timely all accounting
and financial reports for review.
·
Responsible for proper
accountancy of all Companies assets and investments.
·
Ensure that all laid down
accounting policies, procedures and rules are followed.
·
Prepare bank reconciliation
for the assigned subsidiary.
·
Prepare the daily, weekly and
monthly cash flows.
·
Periodically conduct stock
takes and value the Group’s stocks for purposes of reporting.
·
Review all Factory expenses
to ensure correct classifications, grouping and valuations and ensure that they
are within the budget.
·
Supervise accountants and
data entry clerks.
Qualification and experience
·
Bachelors Degree in
accounting or finance.
·
Minimum of 5 years experience
in accounting preferably in a large manufacturing Company.
·
CPA (K).
·
Knowledge in systems
implementation process.
·
Excellent writing skills.
·
Understands structured
financing and/or commodity financing.
·
Experience in QuickBooks and
Sage Pastel accounting software.
