Kenya Power is seeking to recruit Mechanical Technicians for mechanical power plant maintenance.

Reporting to the respective Supervisor, the successful candidate will undertake the following duties;

  • Implementing diesel power plant maintenance and operations schedules.
  • Carrying out plant operations and maintenance as per Company standards.
  • Preparing spares purchase requisitions for power plant overhauls.
  • Preparing reports on repair and maintenance of generation machines.
  • Overseeing operations and related routine duties.
  • Performing any other duties as may be assigned.
Appointment Requirements

Applicants should be in possession of the following;
  • KCSE C- (Minus) or other comparable equivalent qualifications.
  • Diploma ¡n Mechanical Engineering from Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) or comparable qualifications from recognized institutions.
  • At least three (3) years work experience.
  • IT User Skills.
  • Assertive and team player.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
