Kenya Wedding Centre
is looking for a Business Development Manager with a track record of developing corporate events and/or
weddings and bringing them to life with profitable delivery and of achieving
revenue targets.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing event planning for our clients from the point of first contact, to coordination & oversight, through conclusion and follow up.
Your skills will include new business generation, strong organizational
ability, flexibility in both approach and work schedule, and a never wavering
focus on client satisfaction.As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing event planning for our clients from the point of first contact, to coordination & oversight, through conclusion and follow up.
You must be a great sales person with ability to attract, lead and retain top talent in the Kenyan wedding industry. You must be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing with strong interpersonal skills to foster rapport with clients and team members.
Regular reporting will occur on sales goals, budgetary results, competition and industry trends.
In addition to the skills above, we are looking for the following minimum qualifications:
- Bachelors’
degree in related field.
- Certified
Wedding Planner.
- Minimum
of 3-5 years sales experience, ideally within the wedding or hotel/travel
industry.
- Direct
or indirect sales experience - demonstrate capability in customer facing
and sales activities.
- Relationship
management experience i.e experience of building and maintaining
partnerships with external suppliers and partners.
- Proven
track record of delivery against business objectives.
- Flexible
style - in forging relationships at all levels and also in approach to
working hours.
- Ability
to work under own initiative
- Strong
customer focus whilst having a business acumen and genuine interest in
caring for clients.
Primary Wedding Planning Responsibilities:
- Receiving,
documenting and promptly responding to all incoming leads (via website,
phone, email & various sites)
- Following
up with prospective clients.
- Walking
through, with clients, all aspects of hosting a wedding or other special
event (including estimated charges)
- Arranging
site visits, as necessary.
- Generating
contracts and reviewing with clients.
- Obtaining
signed contracts and securing necessary deposits.
- Continuing
to work with the clients during the entire planning phase.
