Child Protection Project Manager
1 Position
Reporting to: Child Protection Programme Manager
Contract duration: 12 months (with 3-month probation period)
Main responsibilities:
- To
be responsible, under the supervision of the Child Protection Programme
Manager, for all aspects of the implementation of the Child Protection
project in rural divisions of Lagdera district.
- To
manage, mentor and train a team of CP staff and community workers.
- To
coordinate with the Psychosocial Counselor to ensure regular assessment of
project needs and adequate follow up of extremely vulnerable cases.
- To
develop close collaboration with the local authorities such as the
District Children Officer, other partners and services in order to
establish a proper child protection referral system.
Requirements:
- Minimum
diploma-level education in related field.
- Minimum
3 years’ experience in projects supporting children (social work, child
protection, psychosocial, education, etc.)
- Team
management experience (30-40 subordinates).
- Project
reporting and evaluation experience.
- Fluency
in English and Kiswahili. Ability to communicate in Somali is a plus.
- Willingness
to live at village level in main project sites.
