We are currently looking for a Regional Compliance Manager for the East and
Southern Africa Regional Office based in Nairobi with regular travel to the

Regional Compliance Manager
Position based in Nairobi
The purpose of this role is to work alongside Save the Children UK’s Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia country teams and in close co-operation with the donor compliance unit and global audit team based in London to minimise operational risks in relation SCUK’s Horn of Africa emergency response operations.
Requirements
- Practical
know-how at operational level of implementation, reporting and record
keeping.
- Fluent
practice of the grant management cycle, logical frameworks, and M&E
concepts.
- Ability
to provide advice on donor compliance issues raised in donor proposals and
reporting, and on how to integrate compliance management at operational
level.
- Knowledge
of grants and contracts regulations and reporting requirements of major
donors such as EU, DEC, DFID, ECHO, UN agencies, CIDA and USAID.
- Strong
understanding of key financial and management accounting concepts
including preparing complex, multi-donor emergency budgets and of
analysing and commenting on variances between actual and budgeted
expenditure.
- Willingness
to travel, often at short notice to remote and insecure locations.
- Familiarity
with internal audit processes and risk management approach.
