Procurement / Logistics Manager Job in Nairobi Kenya

The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is an internationally recognized leader in the fight against pediatric HIV/AIDS, working to eradicate pediatric HIV infection through research, advocacy, and the delivery of comprehensive HIV services to women, children, and their families in 17 countries globally.

Since 2000, the Foundation in Kenya has expanded from a small HIV and AIDS initiative to a large prevention, care, and treatment program covering several regions in Kenya.

EGPAF in Kenya is looking to recruit a
 Procurement / Logistics Manager based in Nairobi.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will contribute in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of contextualized procurement, purchasing, logistics and distribution operating procedures and guidelines.

In liaison with other operations departments and programs in procurement & logistics execution, you will establish & coordinate an overall, synchronized projects’ supplies annual procurement plan.

You will coordinate sourcing strategies and develop a comprehensive supplier base, negotiate supplier terms and conditions for the supply of goods & services and prepare and review supplier evaluations/bids analysis, requests for awards, purchase orders, contracts for services and other procurement documents.

You will generate and disseminate monthly procurement reports to support project management decision making

You will act as property manager for office assets, coordinating their purchasing, based on assessed needs, systematic tagging, insurance (and related claims processes), annual documented physical verification and disposal at close out per project specific disposal provisions.

You will promote learning and development amongst procurement & logistics staff.

Who we are looking for:
  • A holder of minimum business related degree and a diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management.
  • Minimum five years working experience in donor funded projects (preferably USG funded) at a senior level.
  • In addition, you will have experience with commodity management tracking systems.
  • To be successful in this role you will be IT savvy, including accounting softwares.
