DR Congo Senior Nutrition Advisor Kinshasa, DR Congo

Helen Keller International (HKI) is seeking a Senior Nutrition Advisor (SNA) for its office in Kinshasa.

The SNA will provide strategic direction and leadership to nurture and grow the HKI DRC Nutrition Team to ensure effective program planning, management and technical direction.

(S)he will also provide technical expertise to the HKI DRC office and collaborating partners in nutrition, micronutrient supplementation health and agriculture, food fortification, Essential Nutrition Actions framework, behavior Change communication (BCC), training, group facilitation, and curriculum development.

Requirements for the position include:
  • 5 years’ experience in nutrition program design, implementation, and monitoring, including strong quantitative analytic skills.
  • Background in community based nutrition programs, especially those related to micronutrients, infant and young child feeding, nutrition and HIV and AIDS and nutrition in emergencies.
  • Advanced university degree in nutrition, public health or related subjects.
  • Fluency in French and English.

Behavior Change Communication ( BCC) Technical Advisor Goma, DR Congo

Helen Keller International (HKI) is seeking a BCC Technical Advisor (TA) to develop the crosscutting communication strategy of a food security project (RISE) in the North Kivu province in the DRC.

The BCC TA will coordinate the implementation of formative researches as well as LQAS evaluations and will ensure the translation results into the BCC strategy.

(S)he will support, the development of BCC messages, tools and materials that will be used to support program implementation.

(S)he will coordinate the implementation of health and nutrition trainings targeting Health Zone Management Teams.

Requirements include:
  • 7 years’ experience in the implementation of communication, outreach or advocacy programs in the field of health or agriculture.
  • University degree in journalism, social sciences or public health.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation and in the implementation of qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Fluency in French and English.
