Operations Controller and Administration Job in Nairobi – SDV Transami

SDV-Transami is the leading logistics company in the region providing an array of products such as sea freight, air freight, road transport, warehousing, international packaging among others. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the above mentioned post based in Nairobi. The candidate will report to the Regional Sea Exports Manager.


Specific duties and Requirements
1)   Management of supplier invoices i.e verify rates as per agreements,allocate costs to correct files,monitor timely payment of invoices;

2)   Invoicing,cost and disbursement control i.e check and approve draft invoices,allocate costs to various activities,check casual costs to ensure they are in line with work handled;
3)   Follow up with Finance dept for LPO’s,petty cash e.t.c;
4)   Handling communication and follow up claims from customers and legal department;
5)   Handling coffee operations i.e Stock management, customer service, and ensure coffee release procedures are followed;
6)   Monitoring internal update system and liaising with the operations team on the level of achievement; and
7)   Communicate internal system errors to regional IT and head office.

Job Specification
  1. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration-Transport and Logistics or equivalent;
  2. Computer literacy (MS Word,/Excel, Internet/e-mail);
  3. Customer care skills;
  4. Analytical skills; and
  5. At least 3 years in a similar position.
