Human Capital Project Manager Job in Kenya

Deloitte is a member of a Consortium of firms that are implementing the Capacity Kenya Project, a USAID funded programme.

The goal of the Project is to strengthen Human Resources for Health (H RH) systems in the public, faith-based and private sectors to ensure improved delivery of primary health care (PHC), and ultimately to improve health outcomes for the Kenyan people.

In order to strengthen the technical team, we are looking for an experienced
 Human Capital professional with proven project management experience to fill the role of Project Manager.

The primary responsibility will be to provide effective management and coordination of the Deloitte Technical Assistance activities under the Project.

The duties of the Project Manager will involve providing institutional development support to the health ministries and other health organisations in the areas of strategy, organisational development and operational efficiency.

They will also include an oversight responsibility for the recruitment, induction and contract management of a large number of health workers deployed in various institutions within the country under the Program.

Applicants to this position must be team players who have the following qualifications and experience:
  • At least a Bachelors degree in social sciences or a business related field. A relevant Masters degree would be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience in Human Resource Management.
  • Proven experience in Project Management.
  • A good understanding of human resource management systems and human resource policies and strategies, preferably with some public sector experience.
  • Ability to effectively interact with and influence senior level policy makers.
  • Experience working with donor funded programs will be an added advantage.
