Finance Officer - Kenya Programme 

Job Summary:

The Finance Officer will primarily focus on ensuring that the database in Nairobi is maintained accurately and all relevant internal reports are issued on a timely basis.

S/he will also be responsible for supporting the fundamental accounting functions (bank, cash, authorisation controls) in Nairobi, including ad hoc payroll processing, journal preparation and balance sheet reconciliations

Person specification:
  • A degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a busy accounts office in an NGO
  • Proficient in computer software including at least one accounting software preferably Microsoft Great Plains (MGP) and Word and Excel applications
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, report writing skills
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of responsibility, integrity and be a good team player
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English
