Title: Environment Manager
Duty
Station: Nairobi,
Kenya
Basic
Purpose
To co-ordinate all environmental activities of in the Company so
as to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and corporate requirements
Main
Responsibilities and Duties
§ Co-ordinate
the development and implementation of ISO 14001:2004 within the Company
§ Management
of waste generated from the various activities within the organization
§ Coordinate
hygiene requirements as per food safety
§ Coordinate
various environmental partnership projects
§ Coordinate
natural resource conservation programs
§ Train
employees to create an understanding of Environmental Management
§ Monitor
and report on performance of set environmental objectives
Education,
Skills & Knowledge
The ideal candidate will have:
§ Good
knowledge of environmental management and coordination Act 1999, OSHA 2007,
Water Act 2002, Public Health Act, Local Government Act and
other relevant laws
§ University
degree related to environmental Science and management
§ NEMA
Registered – At least Associate Expert.
§ At
least 3 years experience
§ Excellent
Communication skills
§ Experience
in ISO Auditing
§ Self
driven and ambitious person
