Data Officer Job Vacancy

Reporting to the operations Manager, the data Officer shall have an overall responsibility of maintaining the company database.

He/she shall initially carry out the duties and functions of a data officer as stated here-below.

The duties and functions may be altered at the discretion of the management.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receiving, reviewing and entering data into our computer system;
  • Prepare and sort source documents, and identify data to be entered while confirming the accuracy of the entered data.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining an effective record management system, both in electronic and physical form
  • Must be able to prepare and distribute reports based on the data entered.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentially, work as a team player and be honest and dependable
  • Several projects have deadlines and the applicant must be able to meet these
  • Must have an exceptional eye for detail and be an accurate typist
  • The applicant should have a working knowledge of record management procedures; the ability to work with a wide variety of computer systems and software including spreadsheets and databases;
  • Good communication skills both oral and written and must be able to follow oral and/or written instructions.
Qualifications
  • CDL certificate
  • Diploma or equivalent in management information system, information technology or in any other related course
  • CPA part 1 will be an added advantage
  • At least one year work experience in data entry
