Responsibilities:
- Oversee
the construction project from start to finish.
- Management
of Construction Projects and managing the construction workers.
- Cooperation
with Architects and Quantity Surveyor in preparation of Bills of
Quantities and Work Schedules
- Create
the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual
responsibilities.
- Ensure
that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.
- Devise
the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
- Communicate
effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases
of the project.
- Monitor
the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold
regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
- Maintain
strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety
standards.
- Periodic
inspection of construction sites.
Knowledge and Skills Required
- A diploma degree in
Building Construction
- Minimum
1 year of experience in construction projects.
- Must
be 27 - 40 years old
- Excellent
communication skills.
- Ability
to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability
to work long hours
- Ready
to work Outside Nairobi
- Strong
analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective
time management and logical decision-making ability.
- Thorough
knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential.
- Strong
focus on quality.
- Salary
range 20 - 30k per month
