Position: Senior Accountant

Our client, a leading financial services firm specializing in audit, tax, Business Process Outsourcing and Financial Consultancy wishes to recruit a senior accountant.
The successful candidate will be expected to support the accounting department operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring
the necessary statements ( trial balance, profit & loss account,
balance sheet, debtors list, creditors list etc ) are produced after
bookkeeping is done
- Ensure
VAT returns, NSSF, NHIF and PAYE are filed before due date
- Managing
work allocation for the Accounting team
- Planning
and ensuring deadlines are met
- Review
of work carried out by Assistants
- Develop
relations and communication with clients being handled and ensuring to
understand operations and activities of the client.
- Liaison
with clients and monitoring records movement
- Visiting
clients and team on outside assignments
- Preparation
of management accounts as per contracts
- Collection
of fees
- Ensuring
quality of work done for clients
- Developing
team spirit and providing able leadership to Accounting team
- Perform
any other duties and responsibilities as may be bestowed upon by the
management from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's
degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA
(K)
- 5+
years experience in Accounting
- Proven
Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and
enhance customer relationships
- Excellent
written and oral communication skills
- Handles
stressful situations and deadlines pressures well
- Must
have basic computer skills ie MS Word and MS Excel.
