The GS1 system is a series of standards designed to improve supply chain management, with the objective of improving efficiency & visibility in supply and demand chains.

Chief Executive Officer

Job Profile

  • Provide advice to the Board on matters related to the operation of GS1.
  • Develop, implement and review strategic plan including annual work plans.
  • Ensure proper management and control of the Institute’s financial and non-financial resources in an efficient and cost effective manner.
  • Foster the culture of quality and performance that promote standards of ethical practice and good corporate governance.
Person Profile
  • Masters degree in social sciences or Business related discipline backed by at least three years relevant working experience at senior management level in commercial environment in a reputable organization.
IT / Project Executive

Job Profile
  • Ability to handle existing projects and upcoming projects.
  • Able to tackle technical issues related to GS1 System.
  • Management of GS1 Membership database and Data Pools.
  • Management of GS1 website Web development / design and regular updates.
Person Profile
  • Must be a holder of BSc IT or related with hands-on experience on Web Development & Project Management and relevant experience in the field of at least 1 year.
Membership & Communication Executive

Job Profile
  • Registration of new members and update of records of existing members.
  • Updating of GS1 Membership database and Data Pools.
  • Customize and circulate regular communications to members as scheduled & instructed.
  • Customer Care / help desk activities.
  • Co-ordinate events on behalf of respective departments.
Person Profile
  • Must be holding a Degree in BA or Marketing with PR, Communications skills, good computer knowledge and relevant experience in the field of at least 1 year.
Training Executive

Job Profile
  • Training all GS1 members either new or old within Kenya.
  • Conduct seminars & conferences as per industry request.
  • Market GS1 systems through training.
  • Develop training aid to suit respective situations as it may arise.
  • Customer care activities.
Person Profile
  • Must be holding a Degree in BEd or Marketing with PR, Communications skills, good computer knowledge and relevant experience in the field of at least 1 year.
