Manager Planning - Research & Budget
Job Purpose:
To plan, carry out research and budget for the provision of airport and airstrip facilities to meet customer satisfaction in terms of security, safety and comfort.
Background and Scope: Through use and application of acquired skills, concepts, best practices and techniques, the jobholder develops plans and budgets to ensure provision of facilities which are secure, safe and comfortable in order to meet customer satisfaction.

Job Purpose:
To plan, carry out research and budget for the provision of airport and airstrip facilities to meet customer satisfaction in terms of security, safety and comfort.
Background and Scope: Through use and application of acquired skills, concepts, best practices and techniques, the jobholder develops plans and budgets to ensure provision of facilities which are secure, safe and comfortable in order to meet customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities
- To
prepare and review the master plans for all airports and airstrips in line
with the strategic plan.
- To
continuously undertake research on new technology and developments for
airport facilities improvement.
- To
prepare capital investment plans to meet facilities demand
- To
Monitor and evaluate progress of engineering projects as set out in line
with the Corporate Plan
- To
undertake cost benefit analysis and budget for capital investments
- Participates
in the preparation and evaluation of terms of reference for consultancy
and specification for engineering works
- Reviews
all tenant improvement proposal within KM airports for compatibility with
overall operations.
- To
compile and analyze data for purposes of short and long term engineering
planning
- To
carry out feasibility studies for
airstrips to determine viability
- Ensures
maintenance and improvement of KAA QMS
Qualifications and Experience:
- University
Degree in Engineering discipline/Architecture
- Registered
Engineer/Architect
- Member
of the Institute of Engineers of Kenya or any other recognized
professional institution .
- Post
graduate qualification - Project Management / Management / Airport Planning-
Development or any other related.
- Minimum
of 7 years of working experience in Engineering
- Knowledge
and application of Engineering software(s)
