The Independent Medico-Legal Unit (IMLU) is a
non-governmental organization that seeks a Just World free from Torture by
promoting the rights of torture victims, survivors and protects all Kenyans
from all forms of state perpetrated torture by advocating for policy reforms,

Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Programme Monitoring and Evaluation
- Leadership
of all organizational monitoring and evaluation interventions
- Review
IMLU monitoring and evaluation plan with a view to improving on
institutional internal and external accountability
- Monitor
programme progress and performance in relation to established work plans
and objectives and propose corrective measures as required
- Strengthen
partnership and coordination with partners and stakeholders within the
context of the programme implementation
- Provide
technical support to programme officers in monitoring, evaluation and
learning
2. Fundraising and Reporting
- Lead
in the development of programme proposals, work plans and budgets
- Lead
in preparation and timely submission of donor reports
- Support
the executive director in donor liaison
- Provide
programme updates and briefs to management, board and stakeholders
- Coordinate
and ensure timely delivery of internal/external evaluations of the
programme as required.
3. Line management
- Assist
the executive director in performance management of programme officers,
including mentorship, guidance, training and development.
Qualifications
- Masters
degree in social sciences, law or other relevant area plus 6 years
relevant working experience.

- Undergraduate
degree with 8 years relevant working experience.
