Save the Children UK is looking to fill the following positions in the sub regional office in Nairobi Kenya:
Regional Roving Logistics Manager
East and Southern Africa, Based in Nairobi
The Roving Logistics Manager is there to assist the Regional Logistics Manager to improve the capacity of logistics across programmes within the region.
The TOR (terms of reference) for deployment to countries will be designed by the countries and reviewed by the Regional Logistics Manager.
Requirements:
- Extensive
overseas experience working in Logistics for International Humanitarian
organisations.
- At
least 3 years experience in overall Co-ordination of Logistics in
Emergency settings.
- Skilled
in supply chain and warehouse management, with direct experience of
designing and implementing logistics systems and procedures for international
organisations during emergencies
- Technical
and practical knowledge in set-up and management of satellite and Radio
communications networks, Vehicle fleet management and managing power
supply.
- Experience
working with large institutional donors and being familiar with their
rules and regulations.
- Experience
providing practical and technical logistics support to Programme teams in
the form of programme planning and preparation and management of budgets
Regional Finance Manager
East and Southern Africa, Based in Nairobi
The Regional Finance Manager supports the Regional Finance Director to build the capacity of country management teams to make best use of the financial resources and assets available to them and to manage financial risks
The post holder has a specific responsibility for financial and management accounting for the Regional Office as well as donor grant management and compliance for regional and multi-country grants.
Requirements:
East and Southern Africa, Based in Nairobi
The Regional Finance Manager supports the Regional Finance Director to build the capacity of country management teams to make best use of the financial resources and assets available to them and to manage financial risks
The post holder has a specific responsibility for financial and management accounting for the Regional Office as well as donor grant management and compliance for regional and multi-country grants.
Requirements:
- At
least 5 years financial management experience in a complex organisation,
involving international staff – ability to adapt to cultural differences.
- Degree
in finance or accountancy and completed national professional
qualification.
- Substantial
experience with computerised accounting packages and web-based reporting
tools.
- Completed
international accountancy qualification
- NGO
experience, especially in a field-based environment
- Experience
in using SUN Accounts and Cognos 8
Regional Grants Officer
East and Southern Africa, Based in Nairobi
The Grants Officer supports the Regional Finance Director with grant management and donor compliance tasks in relation to regional grants and budgets.
The post holder has a specific responsibility for donor grant management and compliance for regional and multicountry grants.
Requirements:

- At
least 3 years experience in financial and grant management.
- Experience
in a complex organisation, involving international staff – ability to
adapt to cultural differences.
- Experience
with reporting to donors and understanding of donor regulations for key
international donor organisations. (ECHO, USAID, DfID and UN agencies
- Degree
in finance, accountancy or similar field and at least intermediate skills
in MS Excel.
Regional Human Resource and Administration Officer
East and Southern Africa, Based in Nairobi
The Human Resource & Administration Officer will Support the Regional HR Manager will HR operations and ensuring a smooth running of operational HR and administrative issues in the region
Requirements:

Requirements:
- BA
Degree in Management or related field
- A
minimum of 5 years experience in an HR Officer level in a corporate or an
NGO environment
- Solid
understanding and practical knowledge and experience of HR issues
including recruitment, contractual documentation, interpretation and
application of policies and procedures, job evaluation and salary systems
- A
good practical understanding of the immigration laws especially in
processing Visa’s, work permits and Government clearances for staff.
Regional Nutrition Advisor
East and Southern Africa, Based in Nairobi
The purpose of this role is to provide nutrition technical support to specific Save the Children country offices that enables high quality nutrition related programmes to achieve innovation in approach, rigour in evidence and nutrition outcomes at scale.

The purpose of this role is to provide nutrition technical support to specific Save the Children country offices that enables high quality nutrition related programmes to achieve innovation in approach, rigour in evidence and nutrition outcomes at scale.
Requirements:
- Internationally
recognised third level qualification in nutrition (MSc in public health
nutrition or equivalent)
- Minimum
5 years of relevant work experience in nutrition programme management
(including CTC/CMAM programmes) in the context of international
development as well as emergencies, including the management of budgets
and personnel, in low- or middle-income countries
- Expertise
or understanding of technical issues around policy and programming to
support the integrated treatment of acute malnutrition within health
systems.
- Thorough
understanding of approaches to protect, promote and support optimal infant
and young child feeding and infant and young child feeding in emergencies.
- Experience
in working in emergencies, transition and development contexts.
- A
clear commitment to, and experience of, developing and coaching
professional and national staff, combined with the ability to give direct
actionable feedback.
