looking forward to recruiting a Merchandiser.
The position is responsible for supporting the sales of company products through monitoring and managing movement of products in supermarkets.
The job holder must ensure goods are well displayed at all times and in strategic position to influence consumer demand.
Major Responsibilities
Product Display Management
The position is responsible for supporting the sales of company products through monitoring and managing movement of products in supermarkets.
The job holder must ensure goods are well displayed at all times and in strategic position to influence consumer demand.
Major Responsibilities
Product Display Management
- Ensure
Company products are displayed as per Company standards.
- Liaise
with Store Manager and negotiate for strategic display sites.
- Set
up special displays as instructed by Sales & Marketing Manager.
In-Shop Stock Management
- Facilitation
and collection of orders
- Establish
stock levels across all the SKU’s through the use of stock check list.
- Monitor
product movement on day to day basis in every outlet.
- Undertaking
transfer of stocks in to other outlets to manage stock excesses
Collection of payments
- Delivering
invoices and statements.
- Using
dues aging analysis to demand payment.
- Collection
of cheques.
Promotion Participation
- Confirmation
of stock levels prior to promotions.
- Coordinating
and supervising promotions.
- Obtaining
sales data for use in evaluating promotion effectiveness.
Market Intelligence
- Observing
product movement, special offers and promotion of competitors
- Carrying
out weekly surveys to determine competitor’s prices.
Preparation of reports
- Daily
sales reports
- Weekly
stock checklist
- Monthly
competitors price mapping reports
Financial Responsibility
Qualification
Qualification
- Minimum
requirement –Diploma in Sales & Marketing or relevant field.
Experience
- At
least 2 years practical experience in a similar position.
