Fleet Controller Job in Kenya

DHL Exel Supply Chain (K) Ltd wishes to invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for the above post. 

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following among other duties
 
  • Planning, coordination and management of all issues pertaining to DHL Exel fleet and maintaining high standards of operational performance, cost effectively, to ensure that the company offers its client the highest possible quality of service.
  • Develop and implement best practice around fleet and fuel management to reflect the DHL Exel strategy.
  • Work closely with senior management to develop continuous improvement techniques, analyze systems/processes and operating methods approved by DHL Exel Supply Chain (K) Ltd and its clients.

  • Strictly follow and enforce DHL Exel Supply Chain (K) Ltd policies, Client requirements and statutory regulations on Safety, Health, Environment, Quality and Security around the management of drivers and fuel.
  • Be responsible for the effective usage of the Fleet, Tracking & Fuel Management Systems and relationships with their respective suppliers.
This is a Management position based in Nairobi calling for a person with the following preferred specifications:- 
  • Bachelors Degree / Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Transport Logistics or similar qualifications in a related field.
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position in a reputable company or companies.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Fuel & Transport industry.
  • Good computing & Analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrable leadership qualities, motivation and planning skills.
  • Knowledge of corporate and statutory Safety, Health, Environment and Quality requirements.
  • Must be a team player, ready to work under pressure and achieve targets.
