The Kenya Wildlife Service is a State Corporation, whose responsibility is to manage and conserve wildlife in Kenya.

The Service seeks to recruit dynamic, innovative and experienced individuals to fill the following vacant positions at its Training Institute in Naivasha.

1. Lecturer I

Reporting to the Deputy Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of quality teaching, research and consultancy service in order to attain the set objectives of the Institute.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teaching, conducting research and providing guidance to students.
  • Participating in training curriculum development and training programs
  • Participating in the preparation of the Institute’s budget and work plans
  • Coordinating local and international training programs
  • Preparing reports.
Job Requirements
  • MSc. in Tourism Management, Environmental Sciences/Studies, Fisheries and Aquaculture Management or Limnology or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) relevant scientific publications in referred journals.
  • IT skills.
  • Three (3) years relevant experience in a similar institution.
2. Lecturer II

Reporting to the Deputy Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of quality teaching, research and consultancy service in order to attain the set objectives of the Institute.

  • Teaching, conducting research and providing guidance to students

Job Requirements
  • MSc in Tourism Management or equivalent with at least one (1) year relevant scientific publication in a referred journal.
  • IT Skills
  • Two (2) years relevant experience in a similar institution.
  • Applicants with Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management or related area (second class upper division) and Post-graduate Diploma in Education or equivalent with three (3) years teaching experience in a similar institution and at least one (1) publication in a journal may also be considered.
  • Proficiency in French will be an added advantage.
