Manager - Mobile Communications

Reporting to: Senior Manager – Mobile Communications

Grade: G2 or G3

Working Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Salary Range: Best in the Industry (negotiable for right Candidate) + Performance Incentive +Annual Benefits

Reporting to the MC Manager, this person will be responsible for managing the operations for Mobile Communications in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop national sales strategy, marketing plan, product classification and pricing, supply chain integration;
  • Manage sales revenue, market expenditure and profit management by use of appropriate tools and techniques;
  • Build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders and customers;
  • Manage account performance to measure the performance to ascertain performance level, identify issues and growth opportunities;
  • Develop sustainable business strategy for the region;
  • Ensure maximization of LG Mobile presence through extensive marketing campaigns and merchandising activities;
  • Key account management through periodical meetings with partners (operator and distributor).
Qualifications & Experience
  • At least 3-5 years in marketing with 2-3 years of experience in Mobile communication and management level
  • Bachelor Degree in Sales and Marketing and membership of a relevant Professional Body
  • Comprehensive sales and marketing experience at a senior level is compulsory
  • Market analysis knowledge and experience
  • Strategy formulation
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment

  • Demonstrate competency in both oral and written communication for internal and external communication at all levels, especially in customer support product training program delivery
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; excellent organizational and multitasking skills; ability to work under time constraints and deadlines in challenging settings; ability to work in multicultural, multi-ethnic environments
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, approach, and coordinate with stakeholders of diverse background and levels of expertise
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with flexibility in order to achieve both personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage a variety of resources according to a detailed plan
  • Ability to travel up to 50% primarily throughout Kenya; some international travel may be requested
