General Manager Job in Kenya - Insurance Brokerage

A recently established insurance brokerage company is seeking to recruit a General Manager who shall be responsible for the general control, direction and operation of the company.

Since this position entails a shareholding offer as a Director of the company, the board is interested in discussing the position with highly entrepreneurial persons meeting the following minimum qualifications.

Academic Qualifications
  • University degree in a relevant subject in Commerce/ Business Administration.

  • Professional insurance qualification i.e. ACII or equivalent
Technical Competencies and Experience Requirements
  • Extent of professional experience in business management, with a particular emphasis on insurance and related areas
  • Ability in working in teams within a multi-disciplinary environment;
  • Experience with networking and business development activities,
Selection criteria
  • Relevance and quality of work experience
  • Relevance of insurance market analytical skills and knowledge of insurance concepts and principles;
  • Leadership, networking and coordination skills;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
