Principle Responsibility & Position Purpose:
 

Reporting to the Front Desk Manager, the holder of this position will provide presence in the lobby during hours of peak arrival and departure activity as well as engage with guests while helping to shape their personal journey.

Essential Functions:
  • Interacts with guests and get to know the purpose of their travel and find solutions that make their travel as pleasurable as possible.
  • Ensures guests receive an engaging welcome, first class service and a pleasant comfortable experience.
  • Ensures guests’ requests are satisfied, anticipated and met beyond the guests’ expectations.
  • Ensures that guests feel empowered, relaxed, entertained and connected.
  • Updates the logbook with any appreciative and constructive information regarding interaction with guests.
  • Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of the hotel and points of interest to the guests.
Qualification Standards:
  • Diploma in Front Office Operations or Hotel Management from a recognized institution.
  • Must have 4 years experience as a Front Desk Receptionist or Guest Relations Officer in a 5 Star Hotel.
  • Must be conversant with Fidelio PMS.
  • Knowledge about the facilities of the Hilton Hotels worldwide and Hilton Nairobi in particular will be an added advantage.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A team player adaptable to a multicultural and multiracial working environment.
  • Ability to communicate with different kinds of people, with a positive attitude towards team and guests.
  • Outgoing with pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.
  • Must greet every guest with a smile and always leave guests with a positive impression of fast, friendly and efficient service.
