SDV-Transami is the leading logistics company in the region providing an array of products such as sea freight, air freight, road transport, warehousing, international packaging among others. We are seeking to recruit a dynamic individual to fill the above mentioned post. The candidate will report to the logistics manager.
Job Title: Domestic Distribution Executive
Core Duties and Responsibilities
1. Receiving orders from the distributors
2. Coordinate dispatches of drivers for pick-ups and deliveries to the local market.
3. Verify and keep records of outgoing shipments
4. Daily tracing of loads and advising customers on shipment status.
5. Proactively check for any potential or actual shipment failures and agree on a solution that will achieve customer satisfaction, maintain and enhance their loyalty to SDV Transami.
6. Ensure customer customs documentation needs are met as precisely as required and customs documents brought back promptly for invoicing
7. Provide regular updates to customers in line with the agreed call back times and customers preferred communication channel.
8. Follow up within agreed time frames until an appropriate response has been received.
9. Work within a team setting to deliver excellent customer service by responding to all received information requests in a timely, complete and professional manner
The applicant should possess the following qualifications:-
· Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or other relevant education.
· Be computer Literate
· Social skills with sensitivity to customer service.
· Mastery of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Orientation of the freight industry.
· Adaptability to work with project deadlines
