The Kenya Anti Corruption Commission (KACC) is established by an Act of Parliament, the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act (2003), to take necessary measures for the prevention of corruption in the public and private sectors; to investigate acts of corruption and economics crimes; to recover public funds/property acquired through corruption; and to enlist members of the public in fighting corruption through education.

The Commission is desirous of competitively recruiting suitable persons to fill vacant positions within its establishment to support its regional expansion program;

i) Successful candidates may be required and should be willing to work either at Headquarter Offices or any of the Regional Offices

ii) Employment will initially be on contract terms, for a period of four (4) years renewable upon satisfactory performance.

Duties & Responsibilities;
  • Carrying out systems reviews of organizations
  • Examining all the legal issues arising from systems reviews
  • Carrying out corruption risk assessments and providing advice on corruption prevention
  • Assisting target institutions develop corruption prevention policies and codes of conduct
  • Monitoring and evaluating corruption prevention programmes and activities of target institutions
  • Preparing briefs/papers on legal issues pertaining to corruption
Qualifications;

Procurement Specialist II

Research Officer II

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participating in survey design and methodology and development of survey instruments
  • Designing, developing, executing and communicating policy researches and analytical studies on specific issues
  • Carrying out or directing fieldwork to gather information
  • Undertaking rigorous analysis of policies on governance and corruption related issues and developing policy briefs and proposals
  • Conducting desk research and critiquing existing policies and legal frameworks

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, development and production of IEC material connected with the Commission’s anti-corruption, ethics integrity educational programs
  • Offer creativity and innovation in the design and production of the Department’s IEC materials with a focus towards incorporating anti-corruption, ethics and integrity messages with artistic illustrations
  • Develop liaison with graphic designers, illustrators, editors and printers to ensure that the Department’s anticorruption, ethics and integrity IEC material and messages meet the highest standards and expectations
  • Develop strategies and conduct actual dissemination of the Commission’s IEC material in the public, private and civil society sectors in Kenya
  • Review the Department’s IEC material in consultation with supervisor and other relevant stakeholders to ensure their effectiveness and efficacy as tools for anti-corruption public education
  • Develop generic and IEC – specific budgets, work plans and outlines that assist in the achievement of the Department’s strategic objectives

Senior Attorney – Evidence Analysis

Reporting to the Assistant Director – Legal Services through the Principal Attorney- Evidence Analysis

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carrying out all duties of an Advocate
  • Carrying out comprehensive analysis and evaluation of evidence in completed criminal and civil inquiry files
  • Preparation of statutory reports, legal briefs and opinions
  • Overseeing the preparation of case files for purposes of prosecution and asset recovery including pre-trial conferences
  • Giving direction and guidance in the course of investigations and recovery proceedings

Reporting to the Principal Attorney- Evidence Analysis through the Senior Attorney – Evidence Analysis

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive perusal of investigation files and evaluation of the facts and evidence therein, to determine the sufficiency or otherwise of the evidence in support of criminal prosecutions.
  • Compilation of comprehensive investigation reports to the Attorney General, detailing the results of the investigations and any recommendations for prosecution of persons for corruption or economic crimes
  • Preparation of quarterly reports to be laid by the Attorney General before the National Assembly.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of proper books of accounts – Cash Books, Ledgers, Registers and Files
  • Processing of receipts and payment vouchers
  • Verification and processing of imprest surrenders

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Installing and configuring networks (Local and Wide) including Internet-related services, name resolution services, directory services and other administrative network services.
