Finance and Administrative Officer Job in Kenya - Impact Research and Development Organization

Impact Research and Development Organization (IRDO) is a national NGO based in Kisumu and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), among others.

Its principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities.

We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following position in Nyanza Province.

Finance and Administrative Officer

Overall Duty: Provide technical oversight to the business systems of IRDO, including administration and logistics, accounting, human resources, procurement, stores, transport, and asset management.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Masters degree or higher in Finance or Administration; CPA (K) qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a F&A Officer in large multi-pronged and multi-sited public health programs, preferably USG-funded.
  • Demonstrated practical experience with setting up and supporting electronic F&A systems listed under Overall Duty above.
  • Understanding of Total Quality Management and Management Information Systems added advantage.
  • Demonstrable familiarity with International Accounting Standards and financial procedures regulating cooperative agreements such as Code of Federal Regulations will be added advantages.
  • Training in and experience with Quick-books accounting computer package.
  • Experience in development and monitoring of budgets, accounting policies and procedures.
  • Highly proficient in Computer Applications.
  • Excellent leadership, management, coordination, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
