Position: Soteni Village of Hope – Coordinator- SVH-C (1)

Soteni Kenya is currently recruiting for the above position.
SVH-Coordinator: The SVH-C will be in charge of Coordination of SVH-Mituntu’s projects. The incumbent will be a full time employee, who will dedicate part of his/her time to the Tigania West Women Empowerment Project (TWWEP).
Duties and responsibilities include:
·         Work with the Programme and Business  Manager of SOTENI  Kenya

·         Provide leadership and strategic direction to SVH-Mituntu.
·         Work with the Women project  Central Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator Administrator, Ward Coordinators and Community Relief and Concern  and  other project personnel
·         Assists in securing the overall project plan and the widespread activities in the groups
·         Carry out any other relevant duties as assigned by SOTENI Kenya Programme Manager and Business Manager
·         Participate in meetings with Local Management Committee (LMC) and implement the LMC approved project activities
·         Prepare yearly budgets for the American Protestant Church  children sponsorship and submit by the beginning  of the year
·         Oversee the smooth running of SOTENI’s Income Generating Activities initiatives
·         Prepare and submit SVH-Mituntu monthly update reports- Finance and Programmatic-as you will be guided by the Programme Manager and Business Manager.
·         Record all financial transactions of SVH-Mituntu and keep all documents of accountability
·         Participate in SOTENI’s grant application process
·         Ensure SVH-Mituntu’s compliance with government agencies and other partners  requirements
·         Prepare workplans for SVH and oversee implementation and monitoring  of project activities
·         Make presentations approved by Programme manager  to partners on behalf of SOTENI  to expand SOTENI’s reach
Minimum Qualifications
·         Diploma in community development, social studies or other relevant courses.
·         One year experience in community project implementation.
·         Fluency in English, Kiswahili languages.
·         Must have basic computer skills.
·         Able to carry out internet communication.
