SOTENI Kenya is currently recruiting for the above position.
Tigania West Women Empowerment Project (TWWEP): SOTENI  Kenya is currently implementing phase II of TWWEP, an initiative targeted at socio-economic empowerment of women in Tigania West. The objectives of the project are to develop personal and organizational capacity of women to enable them engage in more competitive income generating activities, engage in businesses; and raise awareness on HIV/AIDS and equal rights.
Reports to: SK Program Manager
Duties and responsibilities include:
·         Oversee project activities and be the main contact point for SK, FIC, CRC, the community and the field staff.
·         Ensure all relevant authorities are included in the planning, implementation and monitoring of the project.
·         Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of SOTENI and FIC.
·         Overseeing development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, development of project activities, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
·         Responsible for preparing and submitting accurate and timely project reports to SK.
·         Keep a regular update of the annual activity-based project budgets as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports and sending of new funding requests.
·         Lead and motivate the project team and monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate work
·         with consultants and volunteers in the project
·         Ensures close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant proposal.
·         Employs resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring, trouble shoot project problems by identifying and implementing creative solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
·         An undergraduate qualification in development, social sciences or other relevant area.
·         Postgraduate training in project management.
·         At least one year of project management experience working around socio-economic empowerment in the rural Kenya.
·         Experiences with training and capacity building
·         Experiences with project reporting
·         Experiences with monitoring and evaluation
·         Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
·         Must have basic computer skills.
·         Able to use internet for communication.
·         Must have a valid Kenyan driver’s license.
