Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.

We are seeking qualified applicants to fill the above position.

Responsibilities

The Construction Clerk of Works (CoW) responsibility is to give oversight and direction to the construction crews on each building site. This person is ultimately responsible for ensuring that the building plans are implemented both effectively and efficiently.

The CoW is responsible for quality control, implementation of appropriate construction standards and practices, managing the construction staff of construction crews operating in different field sites, maintaining on-site inventory and financial control, ensuring necessary equipment is maintained, developing relationships with the local church communities, assisting in logistics to sites, ensuring safety on construction sites and assess and evaluate problematic
structures

Required skills:
  • Possess a National Diploma in Building Construction or Civil Engineering
  • Have strong leadership skills
  • Must have practical on site experience (2 years minimum)
  • Have inventory and bookkeeping experience
  • A strong commitment to Christ
  • Must know and have experience of how to drive a truck in all road conditions and ride a motorcycle
  • Be able to lift at about 50kgs and know how to load a truck safely
  • Able to speak Arabic
