The Live with Hope Centre is looking to recruit a Community Nurse.
The Live With Hope Centre is a Community Based Organization (CBO) working in HIV/AIDS care, support and prevention based in Kericho.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- To provide clients with the necessary needs based medical and nutritional support - as far as resources allow - in liaison with relevant LWHC departments and outside agencies
- To assist HBC/Palliative Care and HAART Clinic clients through offering medical, educational, psycho-social and advocacy support when necessary
- To report to the LWHC Administration on HBC activities as required including, preparing and providing HBC medical reports
- To provide support and guidance to Community Health Workers through accompanying them on home visits within the relevant areas twice per week
- To refer clients to relevant LWHC departments or partner agencies as necessary
- To undertake stock taking of medicines in liaison with the pharmacist and clinical officer, submitting orders for medicines at relevant times to the Administration
Qualifications and Experience
- At least a Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing Diploma from a recognized institution.
- Must be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya.
- Experience working as a Community Health Nurse in HIV/AIDS care and treatment and palliative care for 2 years would be advantageous.
