Consultancy Services to Conduct Exit Baseline Survey
Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute – KMFRI, is a research body established within the provision of the Science and Technology Amendment Act (1979) Cap 250 charged with the responsibility to undertake meaningful and development oriented research in Marine and Freshwater Fisheries and Aquatic Environment.
It has a total of nine (9) stations spread across the country in Mombasa, Kisumu, Sang’oro in Kisumu, Kegati in Kisii, Naivasha, Turkana, Baringo, Sagana and Nairobi.
Objective of the Survey
KMFRI would like to engage a competent consultancy firm to carry out Exit Baseline survey in order to establish the status of the components listed below among its customers (internal & external) including members of staff and to submit a report showing areas of weaknesses and the necessary recommendations for improvement by the Institute management.
Such firm MUST have valid company registration certificate, tax compliance certificate and evidence
for having successfully conducted similar work/s during the last three (3) years.

Expected Outputs
1.    A report for each one of the aspects of the survey both in hard and soft copies, clearly bringing out the objectives of the survey.
2.    Power point presentation for each one of the components of the survey.
3.    A matrix report outlining the findings for each of the tested variables in each survey (hard copy).
4.    Three (3) bound hard copies of the final/overall report and a soft copy of the report in number (3) above.
Specific terms of reference for this assignment are contained in the Request for Proposals document (RFP) and interested consultancy firms may obtain copies from the Ag. Chief Supplies Officer – KMFRI Headquarters offices located at English point Mkomani – Mombasa on payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 3,500/= (Three thousand five hundred Shillings only) payable to the Institute cashier in Mombasa.

OR be deposited into the Tender Box located at the Institute gate’s office so as to be received on or before Wednesday 23rd February 2011 at 12.00 noon.
All submitted proposals will be opened publicly in the KMFRI – conference hall in Mombasa, soon after the above stated date and time in the presence of consultant’s representatives who choose to attend. Late applications will be returned unopened.
