The Kenya Anti Corruption Commission (KACC) is established by an Act of Parliament, the Anti- Corruption and Economic Crimes Act (2003), to take necessary measures for the prevention of corruption in the public and private sectors; to investigate acts of corruption and economics crimes; to recover public funds/property acquired through corruption; and to enlist members of the public in fighting corruption through education.

The Commission invites applications from suitable persons to fill the following vacant positions within its establishment;
  1. Employment will initially be on contract terms, for a period of four (4) years. The contracts are renewable upon satisfactory performance.
  2. Competitive/attractive remuneration packages will be offered.

  3. Applicants must be of outstanding honesty and integrity, and should be willing to be subjected to a security vetting process
  4. Applicants must be computer-literate to be able to work in a highly computerized environment.

Directorate of Investigations and Asset Tracing (IAT)

Senior Officer: Analysis & Production

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Gathering and documenting information and intelligence on corruption and economic crime
  • Classifying and analyzing information and producing intelligence reports
  • Profiling corrupt official (targets) and maintaining dossiers on them
  • Gathering, collating and analyzing intelligence
  • Conducting risk analysis on corruption and economic crime
Qualifications
  • A degree in Law Social Sciences, Management, Communication, Journalism or any other related field from a recognized institution
  • A Masters degree or its equivalent in a relevant field will be an added advantage
  • At least ten (10) years demonstrable experience in Intelligence work

  • Be mature and a team player with a proven track record of leading, managing and motivating other team members
  • Possess demonstrable analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Reviewing/analyzing financial reports on targets organizations/departments
  • Examining accountable documents of the target organizations/departments to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and regulations
  • Conducting in-depth investigations on all assigned cases of corruption and economic crimes
  • Identifying and tracing assets acquired through corrupt means
  • Compiling and preparing cases for court.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Commerce in Accounting /Finance or its equivalent from a recognized University
  • Holder of CPA (K)
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience

Senior Officer - Research

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing and implementing research programmes in the field of anti-corruption, ethics and integrity
  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting of data on anticorruption, ethics, and integrity
  • Examining and critiquing existing anti-corruption policies, law and Institutions and making recommendations for appropriate interventions
  • Preparing policy proposals, papers and briefs on anti-corruption law, policy and institutions
  • Disseminating research findings
  • Lobbying various sectors of the economy for the adoption of reform proposals
  • Managing a Research and Documentation/Resource Centre.
Qualifications
  • A degree from a recognized university in Social Sciences, Research & Evaluation, Policy Analysis or other related field

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in design, development and implementation of anti-corruption, ethics integrity education programs in the public, private and formal sectors
  • Assist in design, development and circulation of Anti-corruption ethics-integrity educational and other publicity materials through out the country
  • Assist in planning, budgeting and actual facilitation of training at a range of levels in the public, private and formal sectors
  • Assist in the development of work plans and outlines that structure the work of the Department
  • Development liaison and networks with institutions in the public and private sphere in promotion of ethics-integrity, governance and anti-corruption programs
  • Planning and conducting training programs in the public, private and formal sectors.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelors degree in Education from a recognized University
  • Holders of Masters or Post-graduate qualification will have an added advantage
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in designing developing and implementation of Education Programmes
  • Must have experience in designing and developing Educational materials
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

Senior Attorney – Evidence Analysis

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carrying out all duties of an Advocate
  • Carrying out comprehensive analysis and evaluation of evidence in completed criminal and civil inquiry files
  • Preparation of statutory reports, legal briefs and opinions
  • Overseeing the preparation of case files for purposes of prosecution and asset recovery including pre-trial conferences
  • Giving direction and guidance in the course of investigations and recovery proceedings
  • Providing legal advice to the Commission in civil, criminal and asset recovery.
  • Defending the Commission in cases filed against it.
Qualifications
  • A degree in Law from a recognized University
  • An Advocate of High Court of Kenya
  • At least 10 years relevant working experience in civil and criminal litigation
  • Excellent skills in research and reporting
  • Demonstrable prosecutorial skills will be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Driving allocated vehicles
  • Ensuring that the assigned vehicle is in good working condition
  • Maintaining vehicles in presentable and clean state
  • Ascertaining the serviceability of assigned vehicles
  • Ensuring safety of the vehicle and passengers on and off the road.
Qualifications
  • A valid driving license class BCE
  • Up to date Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Minimum of KCSE grade C or its equivalent
  • At least 5 years driving experience in a busy organization
  • Any other relevant training in motor vehicle servicing, defensive driving and road safety will be an added advantage.
