Job Title: General Manager Lubricants
Reports to: Managing Director
Main Purpose of the Job
An oil marketing group with business in Seven countries within the East and Central Africa Region; Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, DRC and Southern Sudan
The successful candidate will, in liaison with top management be charged with the responsibility of coming up with group wide lubricant strategy and execution of the same to achieve significant market share comparable to the group’s strengthens in the white fuel in the respective markets.
Main Responsibilities
Successful candidate for this role will be a member of the senior management team of the group and will with minimal or no supervision will be expected to deliver the following.Reports to: Managing Director

Main Responsibilities
- In Liaison with the CEO and the Chairman, develop group wide lubricant strategy that utilizes the enormous resources and the infrastructure of the group – People, brand name and network of assets.
- In Liaison with the CEO and executive Chairman, develop reliable blending source for the group to ensure reliable and competitive source of lubricant products to support the Lubricants strategy.
- Develop and maintain lubricant businesses for all sectors in accordance with the strategy.
- Achieve volume margins as per the business plan.
- In liaison with the Group Human resource Manager, recruit, train and retain highly qualified and productive Lubricant team to support the business.
Functional competencies critical to the job
- University Degree in Engineering;
- Postgraduate qualification/ experience in marketing
- At least 8 years proven experience and track record in lubes marketing in a role of similar dynamics
- Basic knowledge and exposure to Lubricants blending will be an added advantage
